About rigel
We named our company Rigel after the brightest star in the Orion constellation, which we often admired during our stargazing nights in Namibia. One constellation was always standing out for us – Orion.
Orion is an iconic constellation in the Southern Hemisphere that always sits opposite the Scorpio constellation. According to Greek mythology, Orion is a fearless hunter ready to kill all animals on Earth. Gaia, protector and goddess of the Earth, then decides to send Scorpion, a giant scorpion, to prevent Orion from hunting all the animals. Scorpio continues to chase Orion into the night. When Scorpio appears in the sky, Orion slowly disappears beyond the horizon.
Rigel is the brightest star in this constellation and one of the brightest stars in the night sky with an estimated luminosity that is nearly 120,000 times that of the Sun. Similarly, our aim is to serve as a beacon of light, guiding you through a journey that leaves you with a smile on your face.
